What software should I start learning AR with if I plan to make cross-platform apps for Hololens, Magic Leap, and any future AR headsets?

Is there even something out there that does this? Would it just be best to learn how to use Unity or Unreal Engine, then learn the specific toolkit for each headset I want to develop for?
