I am looking to create an AR experience for a public plaza, with the entire plaza ideally being saved in memory, so that when the user pops on their AR glasses at any point within the plaza, the glasses know exactly where the user is and what to display there. My question is - how big can a 'saved' environment be in an AR application? I have only seen AR applications in highly localized environments, such as a bedroom or a tabletop, with those environments usually being mapped out on the spot by the AR device. Apologies if this is a dumb question, I don't have much experience with AR.
