Am still not getting it how even AR Filters will boost brand recall, brand presence,etc.

As an AR developer i know AR can do some tremendous magic if positioned correctly but after doing a bit of observation i got confused.

I still don’t know how AR Filters agencies are pitching the brands! Are they selling the hope of getting millions of impressions or just in the name of future tech?

Many brands have already implemented AR Filters in their instagram pages. Many filters are just selfish branding which results in 0 UGC content. Even if the normal filter like a randomizer, this or that,etc. performed really well then how is it going to have an impact on the brands page as people just use the effect and don’t even care on which page it is hosted!

I am not skeptical about AR Filters but i am not able to figure out the real motive behind that. Is it just about selling hopes to a brand or is it something else? I really appreciate the support from this community. This community has some of the smartest mind who thinks critically. I request those guys to come ahead and enlighten us.

I had pretty bad time explaining AR to a common man. They just gave me blank looks whenever i tried explaining AR in simple words. So if anyone has deeply understood AR then please share your thoughts.

Q: How will you explain AR to a 5yr old? (Given that you don’t have any device to show AR demo. You just have to explain in plain simple words)

Let’s see who can answer this because i had asked this question to experts and they were not successful in answering this!

I downloaded a model from SketchFab(.gltf) and it was just in few kb size. Then i wanted to add some more custom animation to the existing file with location based key frames . When i exported, the file size was huge! (Initially 300kb, now 34mb). That was problem 1.

The second issue i found was that while importing to the spark ar. It should’ve shown only one animation in the animation playback controller. But it was showing multiple animations in the drop down.

Please guide.

I don’t how people on sketchfab are making the file export in kb’s and mb’s, and how to have everything in just one animation.

Does anyone know how to integrate ModelViewer(3D+AR) on the Wix Website? Spline 3D works fine in displaying 3D model with HTML add on but ModelViewer doesn’t seem to be. Do you know how to do that? Or in general, how to add AR on Wix Website?

I don’t know how people are able to pull clients off for AR. I am extremely new in this massive(maybe small) AR world. And thinking of making side income through AR.

I have researched enough of the AR technologies available in the market in which the 8th wall is way far off my budget. So i learned the available free technologies like Unity+ Vuforia/AR Foundation and SparkAR and i can make pretty intermediate stuff. Also, i wanted to shift to WebAR but nothing seems to be a reliable option.

I want to know how you The Experienced Guys are making brands convinced of your AR Service and making money out of it? I am not at all gonna be your competiton in any way (i am sure of that) , so you can share your experience here(or maybe in my dm).
