Is there any AR tech, like a chip or antenna that could be placed on an object, that would allow the object that it’s placed on to be tracked?

My understanding of AR is that it tracks by shape or angle or a set coordinate. What if I have multiple similar shapes and they are moving and I want to be able to accurately track them and display data about them? Possible? submitted by … Augmented Reality & /u/OrlandoWashington69

I’m working on a lightweight app to simply display basic text data in AR. Are there currently any glasses available at a consumer price point that could pull this off?
