I’m a spatial designer not a programmer! HOW DO I BEGIN AR

I’ve posted on this forum recently and got a lot of helpful comments. However I think all the suggestions I got were in a different direction so I might b=need to rephrase this.

I am an architecture student! I don’t know programming at all. And if I can go about this journey without becoming a programmer that would be great. I know how to use a lot of 3D softwares (rhino, blender, CAD etc.) and have further worked with Lens Studio and Spark AR.

I want to develop an AR world, which can be seen through the phone. I don’t want to make an app. I just want to design 3D models that I can place in specific geographic locations. So that when people go to this place they can see these 3D models on their phone in that space.

Is there a program that already exists that I can do this in? Or is this not possible to do without an app.

Also how does Unity come into this? Is it the program that will allow me to place my 3d models in the space? is it the program which I will have to make an app on?

I’m super confused as I’m not finding the right information for someone in my position, as all of them start to point towards some sort of programming or app development.

Thank you so much for your responses!!

Geotag and 3D models

I’m trying to develop an AR space where I populate a building with a bunch of 3D work. All these models are placed in very specific rooms for people to find. Like an AR museum.

I want to know what platform I can use to be able to create this space? I want to make sure that each 3D model is places geographically and spatially in this exact space. Thoughts? Ideas? Suggestions?

In the world of Social Media AR, who wins? Lens Studio vs Spark AR

So I’m a hugggge fan of Lens Studio, even though I wish the software had better UI, comparing to Adobe which might be unrealistic. However, we’ve slowly seen instagram take over the snapchat space, and most probably will continue to do so.

So does this community believe that Lens Studio is snapchats way forward? Or should we be moving towards Spark AR (Facebook’s AR app) which is extremely similar?

Curious about what people prefer to use and their side in the AR Battle of Snap vs Facebook
