I am currently working on a Unity App that uses object detection for specific toys on a table or similar surface. I have had a lot of success in general using cloud anchors and the object detection, but I am experiencing a lot of Anchor drift during use and it is making it exceedingly difficult to get accurate positioning and measurements when the anchor is hopping a few inches in any direction before sometimes snapping back.
Are there any known steps or processes that can be taken via scripting to improve or counteract the accuracy issues, OR alternatives to Cloud Anchors that may have more accuracy in a small area (4ft x 4ft target space)
I have attempted to use Image Tracking as both an added calibration or alternative but both attempts were worse than the anchor, I was unsure if it was simply a limitation of AR Foundation/Unity’s Image Tracking or my own application of the process.
Any thoughts or ideas are welcome.
Target Platforms: Android / iOS
Thank you.
