I am a total newb when it comes to augmented reality. What books would you recommend. I’ve found theses two books: – Technology Is Shaping the New Reality by Helen Papagiannis – Charlie Fink’s Metaverse

What is ‚bang for the buck‘ mockup for a standalone VR headset which would have the following :

• RGB 3D passthrough
• ARCore or similar SDK
• full skeleton hand tracking (no simple limited gestures)

Hey!

I lead a local community here and would like to create a cohesive game in the times of pandemic, where people will be able to connect and compete with each other without actually meeting.

So I thought maybe a 3-4 day event with a simple Location Based AR treasure hunt game where the Members will try to be the first one to be at a geo-location and seen the AR object.

So I need an Augmented Reality game where I can place some 3D object around a Map and let users collect them in an inventory.

At the end of the period, everyone will see each other’s inventory, can share on facebook, twitter etc. and boast about it.

So its going to be like pokemon go, but a less fancy one.

How much do you guys think such a project would cost me? Would that worth all the work? There seems to be some simple APP templates mimicking Pokemon Go, do you think I can find someone to edit those rather than coding it from scratch?
