AR dev resources
I am interested in learning about how to develop AR programs. I am not interested in graphic/game design side of things and more in building something like Snapchat from scratch. I want to learn how something like snap processes the images, overlays fi… Augmented Reality & /u/UniformlyConvergent
Developing an AR App with Unity & AR Foundation – In need of some guidance
Hey guys,
I’m a Graphic Design Student and currently doing my Bachelor. To keep it short: I am currently designing a book and want to incorporate an AR App to combine print + digital, and I could really need some guidance.
The app doesn’t need to be complex, the only things I want to be able to do is project pictures/videos on the markers/images on individual pages of the book. (e.g. have a printed image on a page in the book and make it a video with the app) I’ve looked into some tutorials but atm it’s very hard for me to get an overview as I don’t know much about structuring an app and what I should even look for (I don’t have an app development/coding background).
Like what are all the parts/things I need to do to make this a fully working App? It’s kinda difficult finding the right tutorials and also combining them, as it’s always just a little piece of the cake and done kinda differently.
I’d be really grateful for any tips on how I could make this work lol. I guess even some keywords would help. And I also hope this is the right subreddit to ask this, otherwise I’m sorry haha.
Thanks and have a nice day!

How to put virtual object in pre-recorded video
Hi all, as the title said, I want to put virtual object (e.g. A cup) on the desktop in a video, the video is downloaded from the web, so I don’t know the camera parameters. I tried to use mono-slam (ORBSLAM2), but without camera calibration data, I cannot render object in the video correctly, and mono-slam algorithms need initialization, while I want to render the object from start. So is there another way to achieve this ?
