AR startup focused on practical uses

Hey yo. I’m a co-founder at an AR experiences startup – me and the other co-founders have various business, marketing and creative experience but we’re currently looking for our tech counterpart.

We’ve taken cARx from Startup Weekend Kentucky and turned it into a registered business. And here’s the kick, we didn’t find the technical augmented reality experience we needed at Startup Weekend (boo hoo for all the non-tech founders, right? :D), but we’re still making a run.

Here’s what our #team DOES bring to the table: – Business, marketing and startup experience – A targeted/niche offering that answers validated pain points w/ earmarked budgets – b2b sales experience (2 commas worth) – A goal and path for generating MRR within two years – We’re under the umbrella of a full-service marketing agency – 3D and design covered (we need someone to bring our beautiful assets to life/guide dev based on experience) – We can deliver AR for brands RIGHT NOW to validate us to prospects

Equity only. With our offer, we can bootstrap this by landing one job, but we can’t land a job until we prove we can deliver AR.

Shoot me a message if you’d like to chat!

Is there a way to do this?

Is there an app that will allow me to set up a QR Code, and anyone who scans that QR Code will load the AR scene that I’ve put together? I want the elements to be attached to a specific building, not trying to make it GPS based.

Sorry if this is a super basic question. I feel a little bit like Ellen calling Steve Jobs for help with her iPhone.

Which AR related stock do you think has the best chance to see big returns in 7-10+ years time?

I have some disposable income and want to invest a couple grand into AR related stock because I believe strongly that this tech has the most under the radar potential for massive growth as a 10+ year investment. I’m not looking so much at the big tech companies that are likely to adopt AR into their lineup, more so the barebones hardware and software dedicated specifically to AR.

So far, my first thought is something like Unity, but the stock is pretty well established ($150). Out of niche baby stocks like MicroVision ($7), WiMi Hologram ($8), Vuzix ($11), Emagin ($3) and Blue Hat ($2), which do you feel has the most potential to boom in 10+ years time? Or, any others you are keeping your eye on?

We are engineering product directors for the Microsoft HoloLens and Trimble XR10 mixed reality headsets. Come ask us anything about HoloLens, AR/MR/VR technology, your DIY projects, or whatever your heart desires!

Hi all!

My name is Jordan Lawver. I manage the augmented/mixed/virtual reality business at Trimble, a large tech company focused on the construction industry. Among others, I manage the Trimble XR10 product, a ruggedized hardhat version of Microsoft’s HoloLens mixed reality device.

My good friend D’Arcy Salmann (/u/darcyjs14 ) is the Senior Director of Commercial Engineering for Mixed Reality (including HoloLens) at Microsoft.

Together, we have over 14 years of experience working on augmented and mixed reality tech.

This morning we’re hosting an AMA on /r/IAmA to chat about HoloLens and all things AR/MR/VR.

As you know, HoloLens is still a relatively new device in the market, mostly aimed at enterprise customers, and still quite unknown to the wider population. We’re looking forward to using the AMA forum to (hopefully) draw a crowd and educate folks more about the AR/MR/VR industry. We’d love to have you guys come join us and build a conversation!

Best regards,

Jordan
