How do I make this ’simple‘ AR minigame?
Hello, This is my first time here. I didn’t know where else to go. I’m really confused and i can’t find an answer anywhere.
I work at a digital advertising company. They want to make a minigame that would play on a shopping mall kiosk, which would have a camera and a windows machine powering the kiosk.
The minigame would use the camera to track the player’s head/face, to basically move the in-game character left-right (2d), to avoid some falling objects. The screen doesn’t need to show the camera’s live feed. It can just show the actual game environment, and just have the character controlled through tracking the player in real time. Similar to playing flappy bird, controlling the bird with your nose. It would be marketing for any brand that wants to advertise in that way.
That’s it. I have looked into Unity, and it’s AR apis, but nothing seems clear.
Restrictions? It needs to play on a windows machine. I can maybe use BlueStacks for playing an android game on there.
Can someone tell me how i could go about to implement this? Is Unity the right way to go? What API, or SDK can I use for this? I have a degree in computer science, but i haven’t coded since i graduated(2 years ago)
I really need some help, and i will appreciate every bit of it. Thankyou!
