I’m an AR novice, but with lots of software development and computer vision experience.

I’m starting to put together a demonstration project and could use some advice on the best AR glasses and SDK to demo it with. It involves placing simple visual markers on customers as they move freely around a store. I want to be able to, for example, place colored arrows over customer’s heads, and keep them smoothly in position as either the customers, or the salesperson wearing the glasses, move around. The glasses should be as lightweight and unobtrusive as possible, as they’ll be worn for long periods of time and while interacting face-to-face with customers. Price is not as important as making a good impression with the demo.

What glasses and SDK would you recommend using for a project like this? Any other recommendations? Thanks!

I have a few issues when trying to publish my filter.

When uploading the demo video, errors are:

– Don’t use stock videos or recordings of images

– Don’t modify or ‚Boomerang‘ your video

– Don’t apply other icons or buttons after recording

I saved the video directly from instagram so I don’t know how this would be an issue or how to fix it.

I’m an AR dev working as an intern at a startup, once in a while I hit the realisation how current AR is mostly a gimmick. I Downloaded Angry Birds AR ,it was great but i couldn’t play for more than 10 min. The apps I develope even though are fun to make don’t seem to be more than a gimmick. I was excited about AR glasses but doesn’t feel like we are anywhere close .

The only application I can think of that is useful is Remote AR assistance

Anytime I google AR glasses I never see any for sale. What are the top brands you’d recommend? Are standalone or glasses that connect to phone better?
