Looking to learn more about AR. Any good resources?

Hey ya’ll. I’m a mobile software developer for iOS (with a computer engineering background) and I truly believe AR will be so important in the upcoming years. I’ve tinkered around a bit with Apple’s ARKit and while I can usually follow tutorials and follow code example pretty easily, I feel like there’s more to learn. I think I need some good references on the math behind all of this AR to actually understand what’s going on. Vectors? Planes? Euler angles? I’m lost! My linear algebra and 3d math is pretty weak. Does anyone have any good resources on that?

I’m also aware that ARKit is locked down in Apple’s „walled garden“ and was wondering if there’s a more universal tool/framework that people in the industry use. Thanks in advanced!

Is there any open source android or ios app (preferably android) that its very basic to import a model (gltf would be best but other formats are ok) and view it in ar.

I want it to be as simple to use as possible so that anyone can use it with little to no instructions while also not drifting and being very close to real scale submitted by /u/NotSamar [link] [comments] Augmented Reality & /u/NotSamar
