Vuzix is making a new version of the Blade

In their Product sheet PDF it mentions, „Coming soon with built in audio and auto-focus camera“.

I hope they upgrade more than just that though, AR apps are currently limited by it’s hardware such as only having 1GB of ram. A new version of BladeOS would be nice too, since it’s still at Android 5.1.1 IIRC. Also a usb-C port would be nice.

What technologies are y’all using for web based AR applications?

For me, I’ve worked with AR.js, Google’s Model Viewer, as well as 8th Wall, but that is crazy expensive. What have y’all been utilizing these days? Cheers!

Better than the concept video with the Apple card bc the physical book is the source of the search impulse but it’s still unnecessary to swipe above the book and bc the data is shown next to book you have to put it next to a dark background

Looking to make my own AR glasses.

i just got a. 3d printer and an Nvidia Jetson Nano. im looking for a super small projector to display the hud onto my glasses. I’m not bad with Linux and the jetson nano runs ubuntu so i should be able to tweak it to my needs (so the interface is more like a hud).

I’m looking for something like this https://www.prnewswire.com/il/news-releases/colorchip-introduces-an-ultra-compact-rgb-pico-projector-for-smartglasses-applications-based-on-its-proprietary-colormux-systemonglass-plc-platform-300912745.html?fbclid=IwAR1VmMvVWePPr3YX4yZwmFuYUDXaT_fQ0pf2omER8aomwvifW1R6K65vric

but I’m not sure if its sold in the us or commercially.

My second idea was to buy a pocket-sized projector strip it down and modify that for the glasses. thanks in advance.
