Looking for some info and clarification on what WebXR is

Hi all,

I’m trying to gather some info on WebXR and looking around the Web I’m a little confused

  1. What is WebXR exactly? As per my understanding it is a way to get AR experiences on a browser. Will it work with all browsers? Is it device agnostic?
  2. If I had a mobile device that was a little old ad did not support Apple’s ArKit or Google’s ArCore would WebXR still work on the browser of such a mobile device?
  3. What is WebAR? is it just short for Web Augmented Reality or is it a distinct framework?
  4. What is WebVR?

Sorry if I have violated the sub’s rules in some way. Could someone help me?
