How to get started with AR development ? If you were getting started with AR/VR development in the current year, how would you get started and what mistakes would you avoid ?

Hello everyone. I’m a 20 year old aspiring developer. I took an AR/VR audit course in my college (sophomore studying IT), it basically required me to take basic courses on Udemy and Udacity. from which I learned to make AR’s and VR applications using already made apps, the course also taught me about various headsets/hardwares of AR/VR and applications of AR/VR. But I want to make an AR on my own from scratch . I heard that Unity is a good option for AR/VR development and so I learnt C# and completed a Unity Course : Create with Code, which covers the basics of Unity. My question is, what should be my next step? Should I learn 3Dmodelling with Maya3D, I read somwhere that OpenGL is necessary to learn at some point. I’m also quite worried about not knowing the prerequisites and I’m not very artistic (as in stuff like sketching/drawing). I know that I should search for my question before posting. I have already done that, but those 2/3 questions were from 2/3 years ago, so I thought things might’ve changed. Thanks. Also If you were getting started with AR/VR development in the current year, how would you get started and what mistakes would you avoid ? If you could also answer this question, I would highly appreciate you.

Is there a PC software that integrates AR into existing videos

Hey guys, that’s my question.

I’ve seen there’s a lot of mobile apps that do that live using the phone’s camera, but i didn’t find anything that does it for already filmed footage.

Like, i have a POV shot of a bicycle riding on a road, and i want to add some AR elements (billboards, signs) on the sides of the road. Is there no software that just adds those in the scene? Kinda like Adobe Aero, but that one’s for mobile as well….
