Tech Stack suggestion for AR app with these requirements

Hi all, me and my team are looking into building an AR application with these requirements:

  1. Cross platform (Android + iOS)
  2. Ability to place 2D objects like signs and 3D objects on planes, that will save their exact position, so when another user comes with a different device, they can see the object appropriately.
  3. Placed objects should be tolerant to small environment changes, for example change of color of the area that they were incorporated.
  4. Ability for signs to be interactive: display text when touched and maybe play sounds or videos
I am not sure how challenging these requirements are since I don’t have any experience, so any comments are welcome.
We are looking for suggestions on tools that are good options for our use case. I looked into Viro React, but it seems that the project has more or less been abandoned and has issues with iOS.Unity looks like a good option, with plugins like AR Foundation, Vuforia and ARToolkit, but I am not sure which one is the better option. Any other suggestions are welcome. Thanks in advance.

Tech Secrets Behind ‘Cosmonious High’s’ Cast of Interactive Characters
Cosmonious High contains 18 characters across six species all created by a team with zero dedicated animators. That means lots and lots of code to create realistic behaviors and Owlchemy-quality interactivity! The ‘character system’ in Cosmonious High is a group of around 150 scripts that together answer many design and animation problems related to characters. […]

‘The Last Clockwinder’ Review – So Much More Than Just Robots Picking Fruit
The Last Clockwinder is casual puzzle game that tasks you with building moving contraptions out of your own clones. While constructing complex factories essentially populated by just yourself is good fun, the game also excels in delivering a world that feels alive, which isn’t an easy task when you’re basically (ok, not exactly) in one room […]
