Anyone know a competitor to ARkit in terms of its shared reference and spatial mapping?

I was hoping there would be some type of analogue to spatial mapping and shared references by now for android, but it doesn't seem like any technology like that exists yet. Apple seems to be ahead of everyone for this particular aspect of AR, no?
