As someone who would love this tech, I think this will be huge in the future, is AR tech becomes wearable and socially accepted.
Imagine an extremely sophisticated AI, who can recognise your friend speaking French, and translate him in real time, perhaps even track his movements so that the text is following him as he's talking. And it's not a shoddy translate job either, it's accurate, fast, and translates his words perfectly to your own language. He also has this headset, and you can both having a conversation fluently without needed to speak a mutual language.
