Adobe – are you kidding me? "the most intuitive way to build, view, and share immersive AR experiences" It was janky 2 years ago – it’s janky today. I’ve never put any other AR company on blast – but you are not an AR company – you assimilate. To be frank – all your products feel like beta now.

Tips on filming your AR creation on your platform of choice for cinematic sweeps and to mitigate motion sickness. TL;DW: use a gimbal.

My vision of cinematic AR. I laid out my idea for an RPG scene in reality via ShowCAST, went and recorded on site. Did some vid editing with some extra sound effects and this was the result. We have some film industry folks using it for scouting/storyboards. Just ideas. Have fun!

Some days I don’t know if I built WorldCAST for creators – or just me, haha . I love that I can finally do the stuff I want with no code. I will be posting the tutorial tomorrow. Working on my passthrough game – but it can be done with the phones of today (except iO lidar scan via polycam).

I took Polycam Room Scan for a spin today and exported for use in WorldCAST. I quickly staged/replaced reality with ShowCAST at world scale – and simply had fun as I just enjoy putting ideas onto reality to inspire possibility – that’s where our tag came from. Just have fun.

Hallmarks of a successful WebAR campaign: Strong Call to Action (CTA) | "What’s in it for me?" | Frequency
I’ve literally created 1000’s of interactive prints over the last decade and while many were just one-offs – the ones that had the most success (even in the dark days of having to Download a QR reader just to DL another app … shudders … ) had a strong CTA with a reason to want to do it – and the content was changed out often enough for return visits.
Metaio (one of the best AR platforms that ever was – until KP9 – haha) trusted me enough to give webinars on their behalf for selling AR to agencies – just take a watch/listen and apply these simple steps to your campaigns – regardless of what platform you may be using that’s not WorldCAST. This is me giving back where I can and I know this works.

There are simply some things that don’t need AR – don’t force it – as in don’t just put a 3D model on your print and expect massive adoption/return. If you watch my stuff – you know you can be pretty flipping robust these days (simple works too btw – I just do eye candy to get attention – LOOK AT MEEEEEE – haha).
Follow me for more tips and tricks on how you can be the most successful with your campaigns.
