Is c# the best language for AR?
Or does it depend on the AR app I want to make?
I am not interested in creating games but rather an everyday use application for seeing maps, messages, incoming calls, a virtual TV, virtual billboards, 3D objects, handtracking and, STT and TTS to navigate the AR device. Posibility to share the same „augmented reality“
I want this app to work with AR glasses like for example Apple’s iGlasses or something similar and not really interested in the phone AR aspect.
I have come to understand that c# combined with Unity is more used to making games and experiences.

Augmented Reality Discord Server: Portal
Hey everyone! I’m creating a cool new social AR app called, Portal. Literally a game in real life where people can explore the world around them in AR. I just created a dedicated community discord server and would appreciate any new members that are ready to enter the Portal. See ya there! 🙂

AR Party Decoration Concept

It’s very basic at the moment but do you think the concept is worth fleshing out into a proper app or not?

Google patent on AR
I’m in the process of doing research for an AR mobile game I want to develop. I stumbled upon a ton of information regarding patents and AR. Specifically, there is this one assigned to Google https://patents.google.com/patent/US8968099B1/en called „System and method for transporting virtual objects in a parallel reality game“. It states
„The virtual world has a geography that parallels at least a portion of the geography of the real world. A method includes accessing at least one data source storing or providing data associated with the location of a real world carrier. The method further includes modifying game data associated with the parallel reality to transport at least one virtual object through the virtual world…“
I could be reading wrong but it sounds like a patent on the basics AR functions. Am I reading it incorrectly or should I be looking into changing my game idea to avoid issues?
