Nutrition-based AR app Idea.
Hey guys & gals! I hope you’re all doing amazing today.
So, a couple of days ago I got into the whole AR ecosystem when I downloaded some AR apps on my iPhone & I wanted to build one myself. The only problem being is that I do not own a mac or an android. So I decided I would see if someone would be interested in joining me.
I want to launch a nutrition-based AR app that would help users with their nutrition and would like the app to do the following;
1: When a user is in the grocery store, they can put an object in front of the camera ( Let’s say an apple ) and It will display the nutritional value & health benefits, etc…
2: Users can scan the food they are preparing and the app will estimate the number of calories a meal has and estimate if the portion size is too big or too small.
3: When scanning an item the app will tell them if the food item is healthy or unhealthy.
4: That’s all I have for now.
I started working on this idea today and wanted to know if it’s even possible to build such an app? I have 0 coding skills and if someone is interested we can maybe build a business out of it?

How to create a GameObject at runtime?
Apologies in advance if this is a stupid question, I’m a beginner. I’m trying to import a „.obj“ file located on a server into my unity project at runtime. This „.obj“ file is imported as a byte[ ] and I want to convert it into a GameObject, is this possible and if yes how could I proceed? Any help would be very much appreciated.

AR Headsets don’t exist YET!
Just found this old blog from 2017, and I have to say Adario is still correct in the year 2021. https://mashable.com/2017/06/06/augmented-reality-cardboard-device/?europe=true Any one disagree? submitted by /u/TonyFraser [link] [c… Augmented Reality & /u/TonyFraser
