AR.js Image Tracking
AR.js Image Tracking

Hey y’all,

I’m a bit of a beginner with html and javascript, so thanks in advance!

I’m trying to use ar.js with a-frame to create a simple web based augmented reality scene. Basically when you look at an image through your camera, you should see a 3d model. The website which opens your camera is an html website through github pages. In other words, I’m trying to implement this over the web, not locally, so anyone can use it.

The place that i’m having trouble is understanding how to use NFT’s, and then publishing the files online in order to reference them in my html code. For example, here is the complete documentation:

https://ar-js-org.github.io/AR.js-Docs/

Attached is an image showing the instructions for creating an NFT. The other picture is how the example calls their NFT through a URL.

I have used the NFT Marker Creator to get a .fset, .fset3, and .iset file for my .jpeg image tracker. However, currently these files are local. I’m confused on what to do next in order to reference them with a url like the example did. Do I upload them all to a folder somewhere online? or in github?

I hope this makes sense, thanks so much for any help!

What is the best way for me to get into Augmented reality.

I currently use python as my programming language but I read online that C# and C++ are better for AR. Also, what resource would I need to learn prior to jumping into the field. submitted by /u/Abacito_ [link] [comments] Augmented Reality & /u/Abacito_
