Best dev kits for developing for mobile AR glasses?

Which stocks would you invest in for the coming AR boom?
Besides the big ones like Apple, Microsoft, Facebook etc. There is real money to be made here. Smart phones should be replaced by wearables in 5-10 years. What do you think? submitted by /u/ObjectiveAgent [link] [comments] Augmented Reality & /u/ObjectiveAgent
AR glasses for giving talks without notes?
Hello, i work as a lecturer part time, giving talks lasting roughly 1.5 hours which is a lot of notes to memorize. typically i use powerpoint, or just bring in some printed pages to read off of. however, i’m wondering if maybe AR glasses could be a better solution for giving long talks without having to memorize a bunch of notes?
basically what i’m thinking is i would have the text scrolling on the glasses as i talk, so i can simultaneously engage with my audience while delivering the content (don’t need to look up at powerpoint, or down at notes).
is anyone aware of something like this for AR? thanks

Social networking with an integrated AR twist!
So when we are on snapchat, we can see our friends current locations or public stories based on locations on world map, on Yelp/facebook you can see your friend check in a particular location with a sentiment etc. I was wondering what if we integrate Social media with AR, such that if for example my friend Raj checked in restaurant BBq nation and could share what he ordered, and how was he feeling! And if you’re somewhere near that location and open your social app then it notifies you of a public AR message! This can be a AR action from premade set of options by the social app or based on your sentiment or any information the app collects at that time, can automatically create an AR story for you! These are my questions: 1. Is there already something like this? 2. Would you want to use anything like this? If yes, any reasons! 3. Why wouldn’t you want to use this if any! 4. Any use case other than just pure entertainment or as a unique experiment?
