I had pretty bad time explaining AR to a common man. They just gave me blank looks whenever i tried explaining AR in simple words. So if anyone has deeply understood AR then please share your thoughts.

Q: How will you explain AR to a 5yr old? (Given that you don’t have any device to show AR demo. You just have to explain in plain simple words)

Let’s see who can answer this because i had asked this question to experts and they were not successful in answering this!

Hi everyone, what design principles should designers apply within an AR layer of the product superimposed to complete consumer and product 3D modeling, rigging, and real-time rendering like what Unit does? And What is the best solution for today regarding cost-effectiveness and bang for the buck? And where do you think this kind of technology will be in, say, 3-5 years? We’ve seen many fashion industries started implementing virtual try-on as part of increasing confidence in the online shopping experience, and I hope to get some answers on what kind of challenges designers experience in helping developers implement this technology?

I once truly loved WebAR. But the GLB/GLTF file format restrictions made me and WebAR, fundamentally incompatible. But we’re still friends.

My AR work is in the character of: flames, rainbows and mirages. In other words: animated emissive gradient volumes with transparency. Sample image here. WebAR based on GLB/GLTF files can’t handle that. Yet! (Best GLB/GLTF answer in the world from a totally smart person here.)

So now I’m looking for an AR App development platform that:
1) Handles animated emissive gradient volumes with transparency.
2) Does not require six months or more of intense learning curve.
3) Has a free/low-cost entry option.
4) Easy porting between Android and iOS.
5) Impresses my family over the holidays.

Now I’m trying to use Blender with UE5 but whoa! UE5 „AR“ is definitely very high maintenance. Though it has great baggage: graphics and a little VR. But after months together, I have seen the writing on the wall. UE5 was not really made for me and AR app development.

I can’t find my new AR app development sweetheart on Tinder. So, why not try Reddit? What could go wrong? hahaha

Any suggestions, insights, company names, genius AH HA flashes, blind date recommendations, are all very much appreciated. Just imagine: you could be featured in my future wedding toast!
