Does anyone in here play around with Apple’s Reality Composer? I think as an entry-level AR development suite, it’s pretty good. I’ve built a few test items and was successful. Here’s my question:

How do you share it outside of your device?! My use case would be to have images strategically placed around our school campus that users could simply point their cameras to and it will show the AR information overlay. I understand there needs to be a trigger, so perhaps they point to a QR code, which then loads the .reality file?

How have you used Reality Composer? I’m still very new to this sort of development, but very excited at the potential.

also the packages once installed are only for the current project? if you start a new project you’ll need to reinstall the packages?

I enjoyed playing with the idea of a Re-Volt like game, but in augmented reality with physical RC cars. The purpose of this post is to see if there are ppl interested in playing such a game and also to collect some ideas. So feel free to PM me.

So THE r/C car racing game in an augmented reality where the tracks and all the cars you will drive are physical ones, but everything is spiced with a little magic. Visual effects, real life physics combined with hypothetical technologies. Cloaking, EMP, you name it.

Planned mode/weapons:

1. Cloacking – stealth technology. When activated, we will remove the player’s car from the other car’s camera feed.
2. Armor – additional protection against damage
3. Automatic threat detection system – it will alert the driver when his car is being targeted by oponents
4. Aim assist – Allows the driver to target distant oponents
5. Automated targeting system
6. Perception module – shows additional information about opponents (mods equipped by them, car health etc.)
7. Shield – protects against speed limitations and emp
8. U can’t touch this – no collision allowed, when activated
9. Undercover cop – police light will we shown for nearby players and speed limitations apply for their cars
10. Nitro – for a few seconds it will boost your speed
11. EMP gun – when you hit a car with this, it will loose it’s controls for a few seconds
12. Flashbang – blind nearby oponents for a few seconds

Track mods

1. Minefields – passing tru them will damage the cars
2. Bermuda triangle – if you get inside, you might never get out as your car’s controls will be inverted
3. Drop zone – it will spawn mods that can be equipped by the player

I will also include a minigame, a 2d Outrun like game, which you can enjoy while you are waiting for a vacant RC car.
