iPad pro LiDAR sensor 3D scanning accuracy compared to a Laser scanner with sub-millimeter accuracy
Hi,
My client has a Laser scanner has sub-millimeter accuracy and is considering replacing that with the new iPad pro with the LiDAR sensor for some legal and financial considerations.
However he is very concerned with accuracy and is asking if an app that 3D scans objects using ARKit 3.5 and the LiDAR sensor on iPad would give more or less accurate results than the laser scanner.
I can’t find enough information about the iPad Pro LiDAR sensor and I think trying it out would be the best approach, but before biting the bullet just want to know if there is any information regarding this.
