As far as I understand it, to create a visual object next to a person (say a 3D cube), we need either a smartphone or some kind of eyewear (glasses or headsets).
My question is, is there a way to use a movie camera to have that AR technology in it? How would someone film AR without using a smartphone or a headset, or a greenscreen?
In this video, they seem to be using technology similar to what I am describing. Is this technology available for the masses? Is there a similar product?
Or, is AR at the moment requiring necessarily a smartphone or eyewear?
