Don’t know if what I am beginning to see is virtual reality or altered reality or a futuristic merger of both.

Could you help me re-define and understand this vision more clearly; ?

An abandoned, ornate church is purchased in the heart of a small town.

All the pews on the main floor are removed.

40 odd existing pews are left, in-tacked, on the balcony.

Perhaps 20 individual, adjoining, areas approximately 20’ x 20’ are roped-off, in the center, on the main floor.

A wall size screen on the surfaces in the front of the church where the altar formerly existed is installed.

Individuals occupy the individual 20’ x 20’ spaces equipped with individually owned, full-on, connected, immersive virtual reality equipment.

Perhaps teams or individuals engage in an on-line competition that is visible, in real time, on the screen upon the alter/stage.

A small audience looks out over the immersed individuals onto the gaming screen from, what is, the balcony at the other end of the rather large former church.

The individuals that are engaged in the competitive virtual reality game pay to play and can win currency based upon their performance.

At the same time, a small audience, in the balcony, wager upon individuals or teams that are currently playing below.

The wagers are opaquely visible, in real time, upon the bottom of the screen. Paid-out immediately upon completion of the commonly shared displayed virtual reality in an agreed upon cryptocurrency for this particular church/arena.

Could this type of activity take the place of a gymnasium or sports arena as we have known before The Digital Revolution ?

Could some kind of altered reality features be imposed upon the individual players and audience members to add even more immersive artistic humanity ?
