[QUESTION] Need some help with a site-specific AR Audio Project.
Need some help with a consistent AR space.
Okay, quick background. I have limited experience in Unreal 4 and extensive experience with 3D modeling/animation. I’m not great with code, but I can learn specifics as needed.
I’m trying to do an AR project that requires a a few specific things. I’m not really sure how to start so any direction for me to do some research.
I’m trying to creat an AR space that is consistent , and reacts to a users direction. So it’ll be used on a phone, and I want it to react to the direction the user is pointing the phone. The idea is that there will be multiple sounds, each with a different origin point, and a falloff. As users approach the origin point of a sound, the others will fade away, and they’ll be able to hear one clearly. What I need is the sounds to be always active, and broadcasting from specific origins in a space, so users can travel between them as they please. I can put some markers up, but this will be in a public space, so the less, the better.
I’ve looked into location based, and I don’t know if it’s accurate enough to do what I want it to do. Any help would be greatly appreciated, as I’m not even sure where to start with my research.
I’d also like to do some image replacement within that, but that’s not my priority.
Thanks so much everyone.
