Should I use Unity or Unreal to create AR games/experiences?
I am real interested in learning how to create AR games/experiences. I've worked in the Film/TV visual effects industry for the past 15 years. I'm furloughed at the moment so why not learn something I've been wanting to learn?! I picked up Unity and made an easy AR app with both AR Foundation and Vuforia. Pretty cool and quiet easy! Half a day for each app. They were simple apps though.
Now I'm wondering if I should continue making stuff with Unity or move onto Unreal. The only reason I'm considering Unreal is because it would be a big asset for me in my career. Unreal is getting used more and more in film and TV. Unity not so much.
Does Unreal have tools like in Unity to make AR apps easy? I really couldn't believe how easy it was with Unity.
I don't know C++ or C#
Also, What would be the best way to learn? My whole career, the way I would learn anything was to just keep making stuff until things start to click and google if I run into a problem. I'm not sure if this approach would work with with AR since it requires knowing how to code. I don't know how to code...
