Turnkey or White Label AR "Tour Guide" Solution
I'm responsible for what is effectively a corporate museum and event center. We are looking at the post-COVID world and we realized that having an augmented reality docent of sorts might be a cool feature to implement.
What I mean by this in practical terms is we are looking to get our hands on a custom-branded app that will let visitors grab it from an app store and use their device to scan our exhibit. Objects in the exhibit would trigger AR interactions which could be video clips of someone explaining an object or perhaps links to external sites or downloads about an object.
On the back end we would want some content management tools that would make it easy to update the payload materials and links and hopefully to update the triggering objects without too much fuss.
I've looked around and there are a number of what appear to be turnkey options for this sort of thing, but as you peel back the onion and do things like test the apps they appear a bit buggy to say the least. Is there anyone doing a good job at this sort of turnkey solution yet?
